simple question needs a simple answer

im going to purchase a new sony 760 blu ray player but don't know whether to keep my old denon amp and use the analogue connections or purchase new denon 1910. can anyone answer me what the difference will be between the two amps in sound quality ie will there be that much difference to warrant the extra cost and buy the new amp

Probably HDMI will offer a superior performance. Which model of Denon do you have? Why don't you buy the blu-ray player & check with your existing amp? If you're not happy with it, you can always buy a new amp.
