I'm in the market for a new receiver to replace my current Cyrus Pre, Power x2, AV Master and XPA.
The main reason being lack of digital inputs and no video switching along with needing 5 mains sockets just for the amps.
I have narrowed my search down to:-
Yamaha RX-V2700 or Onkyo TX-NR905
I can't find specs confirming if either of these receivers have the 1080p/24Hz capability or not. The yet to be released Yamaha RX-V3800 does have this, but is it something I really should be basing my choice on.
I don't have a HDTV yet, so if the TV I buy has this 1080p/24Hz feature, will I be losing out badly, or hardly notice the difference, if I was to have bought either the 2700 or the 905.
As well as the home cinema functions, whichever amp I eventually go for has to sound good on 2ch audio as well, through Mission 753 Freedoms.
Any thoughts or information would be greatly appreciated
