Years back in the late 1990s I went to a Tv and hi fi show in London ! And invited to see the new High definition screens from a number of Japanese manufactures . These screens varied in size from around 10 ft plus to over 20 ft !
The one that caught my eye was the Sharp showing HD video for the very first time on this screen ! the HD was to wet peoples appetite was avaliable in Japan very soon. Real HD TV ! it was so impressed with the screen and the price a small amount of £25k .
Only problem Sharp had only brought one HD digital recorder with one 20 min dvd , so was unable to know how good it was in real time !
But impressed i was . of course things have moved on in the world of TV . we have now Blu ray (this is likely to be the first blu ray recorder ! and QLED /OLED but nothing since has got me excited as that 20 ft screen from Sharp ! It was the show stealer for me.
