Looking for a 52 or 55 inch LED backlit TV for up to £2000 and have seen the samsung UE55B7000W in a shop with a static picture. Has anyone any experience of this set or could recommend a similar to one to me?

I know this one is lit by edge mounted LEDs, is this a major disadvantage re even spread of illumination? I know there is a Sharp range of LED sets coming out soon but I have no details or prices yet. I am prepared to wait a little time for the right set and they seem to come out every 6 months these days.

i recently read a review on a well known us website , of a 55 inch samsung tv just released on the us market , proper rear led backlighting , not sidelit , and they said only the pioneer kuros black levels were better , and marginally at that , it is the best tv they have reviewed all year , along with the panasonic v10 plasma .

its called unb8500....

Thanks for that, there is also a Sharp LX series just announced for Japan but Sharp over here say it is not planned to import it, but I guess it will come eventually. I may just wait a bit longer.
