I have a Samsung HTC 5500 Blu Ray home cinema system connect to samsung full hd lcd tv with 1.3v Hdmi Cable when watching Blu Ray disc in black and dark images such as there hair & jackets i am getting a glitter affect my friend say that it is normal because the Blu ray discs ar HD or is it my Blu ray player dose any have any know what it is Thanks Liamo50.

Glitter? Sparklies perhaps? That's usually the HDMI cable, what cable is it? You could spend a fiver on a That Cable HDMI lead to see if that improves things, won't cost much if it makes no difference.

Probably want to try re-seating the existing cable first though, thinking about it, but blacks should be black, I've never heard anyone suggest otherwise simply because it's HD, I don't think your friend knows what he's talking about!
