Samsung 55 f8000 or Sony 55 w905

Hi everyone , just joined the site , have been thinking of getting a new tv , and cant decide between the two listed above, i have at present a panasonoic 46 inch g15 , i want to go up to 55 / 60 inch, my room is 16/12 feet, and is at the back of the house so does not get much light, i sit at the narrow end so get about 14 feet to the screen , picture quality is most important, should i also look at other brands like lg panasonic etc, i feel i dont want another plasma , and have up to 1700/1800 to spend any help would be apprieciated thanks jason, will be using sky hd .

Both are very good TVs, although the narrow viewing angles of the Sony has been commented on by some reviewers. Sony's input lag is class leading, so good for games. They're both 2013 models.

Don't know about the 55" version of the Samsung or the Sony but I can tell you that I have got the 46" F8000 and it's fantastic.
