Rotel RB-1092

I find this little beast for 1000 euros, 2nd hand in mint condtition, less than a year of use.

Any suggestions as to its sonic qualilties? I know it has ridiculously high amount of power resrves - 2x500 WRMS in 8 homs - it is a class D amp and it got 2 favorable reviews from the american hifi press.

Any sugestions/thoughts are welcome.

How did you find the sound of this amp, also trying to get opinions on the Rotel RB1572 class D...

very clean and neutral sound, not warm I would say, effortelssly driving any speaker at high volumes with no sign of distortion, a bit aggresive on the treble, tight and articulate bass, quite fast.

Overall an honest amp that given the right match with a preamp (pay attention to the output impedance of the pre, it should be very low, less than 100 ohm) can pay you off, especially if bought second hand.

Really, have you found a piece on a bargain price?

well the RC 1580 is used so decent price with new RB1572 from same dealer.

or just RA1520 + rDAC..?
