Richer Sounds Price Match Refund

Hello guys, I'm new here. I'm also new to the Home Cinema area so be kind :)

I bought a £270 amplifier from Richer Sounds, http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-receivers/yamaha/rxv467/yama-rxv467-blk .

That's right, £20 difference between the website and shop. Will I be eligible for a cashback? I see no reason why not as they do say if you find a cheaper price on their website, tell them in store. Rather than wasting fuel to drive back to Hull I want to be sure they'll be alright with it. Or, could I email them and ask for a refund onto my bank account, or wouldn't they allow that? I paid in cash by the way.

I've never known them refuse if you ask at the time of purchase. Afterwards, no idea but they're usually pretty easy about these things.

I'd be very surprised if they'll refund you into your bank account if you paid in cash though, very surprised, so you'll need to decide if 20 quid is worth the trip back for.

Ring the store in the morning, it's the quickest way to find out.

I'd agree with the_rac, they're usually pretty good about these things but you'll need to swap for something else. I remember when I bought a 1200es off the shelf and got given a sealed box. Got it home and there was nothing with it, no remote, not aerial, no instructions no nothin'. Polystyrene is what I got. Nice chaps though, they'll sort you out given time.

Thanks for both of your comments. I may just leave it, as it's a half an hour drive to the shop. They only have 1 store in the East of England..

I'm pretty happy with the amp, although I could have got 2 models up for £30 more.. I'm having trouble though getting surround sound so I'll post another topic.

John your level of service never ceases to amaze me.

But please please get a better cardiff shop, its so small and busy, sometimes you need to wait outside.
