So recently. I bought the RHA MA750i IEMs.

I was extremly disspointed, because all the reiews I had read were amazing, but then I read whathifi's review, and I noticed that after "running them in", they sounded their best. So;

1) Can someone tell me how to do to this? Like what volume, what genre music?

2)For how long should I do this for?

Thanks in advance! :wave:

I'll be honest with you, i don't think that such a thing like 'running in', exist. I had many pair of headphones over the years and their sound have never changed, either for better or worse.

There are/were great sounding headphones, straight out of the box, like Denon AH-d2000, Yamaha HPH-MT220 or Grado SR325 and there are trully awful headphones like B&W P7 or most of Beyerdynamics, they sound bad out of the box, sound bad after days, weeks of use, simply plain rubbish, even though WHF 'experts' will try to convince you (and themselves) that they're great.

So there you have it, if something is crap, it will remain crap, no matter what.

That WHF review you have mentioned, first 3 stars, then another review, after 'run in', with 4 or 5 stars... You just can't take these people seriously. Trust your ears, not reviews, it will help you to save a lot of money.

Have a nice day.

I had the RHA MA750. Like a few other IEMs it had a large peak in the treble that needed to be EQ'd down. The best IEM I had that needed no tune-up was the Sennheiser IE800. Even the expensive FI-BA-SS was awful.
