Hi all,

My Cambridge Audio Azur 340C CD player has given up the ghost, skipping all over the shop after many years of service.

Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement? CDs aren't really the focus of my system but I need a decent workhorse. Sub-£250 would be ideal!

All ideas welcome!

The 650 looks like* it's end of line and is abetter player.

When unplugged from the mains take the top off (assuming its out of warranty), use cotton swab or similar apply small amount of 100% Ethanol or similar to lens. Lightly wipe the surface. It should dry without residue. It might not work at all. You could always try a cd lens cleaning cd. It may need a new lens assembly mechanism.
