They also come with a proper dust cover which many do not.
I don't see anything in the turntables being particularly weak.
It will certainly outlast the AT.
Also, in my opinion, some of the best tonearms to be found on modern budget decks.
Well, if you knew when cartridges were built strong as the stylus or before this new wave of new things that play records and cartridges that make no sense as they are built badly but extremelly expensive as the stylus tip weren´t like the new one, the first i bought after 2000 or 2017 ,
i told the seller that the tip had fallen but than he looks and tells me, "no, they are like this now" so you don´t know how good were cartridges in the past as for me the year 2000 felt like yesterday,
i remenber being with a friend in 1979 and we talked about if we would see the year 2000(both of us are alive and well, surprising for me, as we did all that is bad for health and a lot of friends are gone but wee seem to be good and healthy ,maybe those things in reality were what kept us with perfect health, some say that i still can let my hair grow as others lost what make them look young but our 60´s are better than the most people we knew and we grow up in a time that young people filled the beaches and camping parks,
as there was the space 1999 a tv series, english one ,that the moon after a explosion is projected through the universe, a nuclear one and all the moon camp is already with spaceships and each as a big device that when talking among eachother not only they talk as they see the image of the person who they are talking to,
i think the spaceships are the only thing missing as the moon camp, they called them eagles and there was also english Blacke 7, and there was a brazilian music from Chico Buarque, that sings with other known brazilian singers, about how would be rio de janeiro without the misery and children being starving,
as if in the year 2000 all that was happening would be solved and humanity lived in peace, so 70´s were a Hopefull decade, the year 2000 was very far into the future(did you saw woodie Allen "heroe of the year 2000"movie) ,
it´s like me feeling that the 90´s were not long ago but yesterday, tonearms are so bad today ,i´ve seen people complaining about Lp´s being too long and new stylus play them bad ,the last songs on each side,makes me remenber a very cheap turntable sold in 1970 that had not anti-skating but i have a around 75 ,Pioneer still looking new with a bigger plinth than that years pioneer catalog turntables,the PL-12D, PL-15D,that as no anti-skating and in the 80´s albums get longer and then i notice some that wouldn´t play correctelly the last tracks on each side a example was Ratle &Hum from U2, and for some reason the B-side of Joshua tree the last two songs, i have them imported because at the tiome lp´s started to be released with all written in Portuguese like Arvore de Josué and contigo ou sem ti ,the first single at the time felt strange how this new Lp´s from U2 were not really U2 sound but after a year Joshua tree sold a lot in the U.S.of A.
only recentelly i noticed that mine was bigger and was built of better materials and works new with all ,original cables what surprises me is that i last installed a belt in late 80´s as a new stylus and when going to connect it, it plays at the right speed and the stylus as i only heard some early 90´s lp´s like the alice in chains dirt, badmotorfinger from soundgarden, first nirvana LP, temple of the dog album and after the first pearl Jam album,
only refered this as they became famous lp´s as i had a lot of others like the at the time new from the Cranes with shinning hour and beautifull friend, might be confused as i don´t listen to them for years maybe 23 years ago,
as i bought a new house from the 19th century then and heard a lot of music, a new house with everything i needed, around 50 of my records that were perfect got a white mould that came from the wall where the furniture was(where i put the records i´m hearing more) and because it didn´t smell i only noticed in the summer when the mould was dry.
Put to play Opel from Syd Barret as a friend didn´t knew about it and he was a big Pink floyd fan, he didn´t knew Syd barret, having all it´s albums including the live at the pompey film, totally diferent today in the original version of the dvd released years ago,
like a highlight, of Echoes Part II, where the guitar solo was filmed and with efects filled the screen with litle squares with the guitar being played ,today it´s like the solo isn´t loud at at the same level of the other instruments,
while the footage was changed for a image of all playting in a shillouette type of image, sorry i think it´s because of age i started drifting and talked about other matters than what is in discussion.
Also when seeing Judas priest with the painkiller tour the band that opened was pantera just had released vulgar display of power and saw a litle older first lp of house of love all bought in the afternoon before judas Priest and Pantera, that i only knew cowboys from hell, those were records from a guy who sold imported records ,
i was going to buy a cd but when there he had just received from England a new box of lp´s and bought those two instead of one cd having already two good cd players that work with perfection today ,the pantera LP no one believed i already had it because at night i told some friends that had all those new tracks in a LP.
I received lp´s and samplers from english and american alternative labels such as SST, Sub-Pop and english Creation , Rough Trade and Food among others as i had a radio show from a fm station i started the only in my region that was heard by all young people and i live in the biggest region of Portugal,
hot and dry, this pioneer turntable ,today works good with everything i installed in late 80´s and checked and it as the right speed, as i said earlier,the stylus outlived two new and expensive ones ,
the prestige gold from grado ,a lot better than the 2mblack and if you read the specifications you´ll know it too also a hana stylus for the umami reds cartridge
which are the better i bought either than that a cadenza series from Ortofon who are very weak and brake easilly not by me but a friend who bought it too,
and if there´s a guy who takes care of his records, he is the one who makes it better, one day he told me that maybe he´ll buy gloves, at night i told other friends and we all laughed so much that at least gloves he doesn´t wear them. sorry for my extended comment
