Haven't mentioned, the reason why Im "upgrading" from the LP60 is because it broke. I decided to give it to a friend and have them repair it somewhere (they requested me getting them a new one before I thought of upgrading), together with the much cheaper Edifier bookshelf speakers I used ($30-40)

I don't see much offerings of powered speakers in our market apps. I do have around 600-700 USD (PHP 40,000+) budget, but it looks like we have cheaper prices here compared to the US. That budget can be used for the TT, phono preamp if needed, and active speakers for now. Possibly I can still stretch it to 800

If I get an amp and passive speakers next year I will be using the active speakers for my PC
Ah, ok, then the Planar 2 with Carbon is fine. Powered speakers with a phono input, or regular ones with a phono preamp stage will tide you over.

The improved Rega stylus is just the elliptical model of the AT, but check with the dealer if they’re directly interchangeable. (I’m not sure if there’s any physical tweaks for the Rega bodied version). $440 looks good value and I’d stick to the standard model until you get better speakers.
