Rega Elicit R sound cutting out

Hi Guys, my Rega Elicit-r after 10 min listening session the sound cutting out for while. I hear loudly clicking then no sound after while clicking again and sound is back on. Sometimes relay? clicking like madhouse. Any thoughts?

If the problem has appeared for no obvious reason (such as a lack of ventillation / shorting speaker leads), it looks like you may be taking advantage of the Rega lifetime guarantee that others speak of.

I have an elicit-r and wonder if its over heating which then switches the unit off until it cools down. do you have any other units on top of it? as they do say not to in the manual.

...you do have to wonder. But the 'Madhouse' relay clicking suggests some other problem?

yes could be i had a problem with mine a couple of months after buying from new all of a sudden it started blowing the small fuse in the back but Rega fixed it very quickly so great service on there part.

It's not overheating issue, amp it's not heat and of course nothing stand over him. I believe when amp is overheated protection circuit switch him off completely, my issue is with sound cutting off. I have issues with all Rega products..i'm lucky guy

I thought the clicking was the internal shut off mechanism so if its not that i suggest you send it back to rega who will fix it for free.

Well i bought Rega Saturn cd player, Rega Elicit Amp and Phono MC together obviously 🙂)

I can't complain for their service it¨s superb, just reliability of their products bugs me
