Rega DAC v Arcam RDAC

Hi All

Im saving up the pennies at the moment buy my new dac in june. I have narrowed it down between the Rdac and Rega dac.

Has anyone demo'd either of these dacs? what did u think? What im interested to know is has anyone demo'd both dacs and walked away with/preferred the RDAC? Which one would you choose if you could have either?

Im personally swaying towards the Rega dac, Most people seem very happy with it!

Hi jez why don't you have a word with Paul at moor gate acoustics, very nice guy and I tried two at home on a ten day trial before choosing the Rega

can you please tell me what you thought of both dacs? how did the compare?

Didn't try the rDac, I was comparing the MF m1dac with the Rega, I would imagine the rDac would be similar in sound to their cd players. The MF was a bit too up front for my liking so I guess the Rega is happy medium.

I started out with the Dacmagig - then got the Arcam Rdac - and now I have the Rega dac.
In my ears the Rega is a great improvement !
The music sounds much more "alive" and the sound is more analouge with much more of everything.

I started with the Dacmagic, then moved to the rdac, great improvement in my system. But then moved to the M2tech Young DAC, then i noticed the real jump over everything, and i auditioned the Rega DAC inbetween. This DAC blows the rest away and would need a considerable increased investment in my book to improve, (maybe another £2000?) Totally looked over in my opinion, this dac should be on any serious listeners agenda.... Only my opinion of course
