its here and been running all afternoon.
compared the Brio, its incomparable.....it has a full grip of the Dali's, tonally neutral and some amount of dynamic swing and grip.
the only issue is the power-on LED has burned out my retinas.
I suspect it'll get promoted into my snug and paired with a Planar 6.

25Watts 8Ω @0,1% THD+N | 40Watts 4Ω @0,1% THD+N | 60Watts 2Ω @1% THD+N

The ultimate listening experience

25W of power per channel with peaks of 225W

from Naim.

How?

I guess it theoretically is if we are talking single figure miliseconds. Probably not enough to make a discernible difference to any even 'blink of an eye' signals.

The power supply looks small but enough for the rated power. Rating for the Nait 50 is 73VA, rating for an XS3 is 350VA in comparison.

I think I know which one I'd rather have for the money, even if we set aside power.

To my knowledge a watt is a watt....
Is it? I know many lower powered amps that walk circles round supposed 100 watt amps. You only have to listen low cost avr’s compared to a low cost stereo amp. The difference is stark.

I’d say it has (the naim nait 50) has more current than it needs lots more. Hence these messily watts being able to drive some surprising speakers

I always find these types of amps have a small complex and go about there business in a big way, for better or worst

.

The output wattage is an intrinsic measured parameter, how it figures when you introduce a pair of speakers has nothing to do with it.
you are confusing the ability to drive a pair of speakers with a measured unit.

Planar 6 into the NAIT 50 into the TX-9s....
What a brilliant little bit of kit. I'm loving it.
