Hi, I'm about to buy my first hi fi setup in 20 years. Due to logistics and finance, it has to be a farily small system, particulary the amp, which I have to hide away more or less, the wife is not too keen on seeing stacks of electronics in our small library. So, I've more or less decided in the Rega Brio-R and B&W's 684.

Do you think the Rega will be able to drive the 684s? I have a fairly small room, about 10 square meters (roughy 95-100 square feet). I'm also thinking about paring the Rega with B&W's 685 and the B&W 608 sub, what do you think of that set up comparing to the 684s? I can't really make up my mind, I'm sure both options will sound great, but I'd like your two cents If you don't mind. Thanks in advance.

In general I would say that these speakers seem a little bit too much for the Brio wrt power.

On the other hand the Brio is one feisty little amp :)

Sensitivy is the same as my PMC's, so I'll think it will do. Probably not ideal, so I'll end with the default suggestion over here: "take a listen" :)

Regards,
