Recording Radio to CD/HDD?

I'm looking for some kind of hi-fi radio recorder that works like modern dvd/hdd-video recorders:

I'd simply like to record radio shows by programming start-time/stop-time/source(radio program) to any media like hdd/cd in any format from wav to mp3.

Do you know anything like that?

There's no shortage on computer-based recorders able to do timed recordings from an audio source connected in through the computer's soundcard, but the problem would occur if you wanted to record from two different stations during an unattended recording period.

Similarly, there are plenty of ways of recording streamed radio via the internet, but you're not going to get anything like WAV quality, given the low bitrates of most of these streams.

But have just found this from Hauppage, which would seem to do the trick...



Looks like it sells for around £30-35.
