Quad 11L2

I have bought another Rotel RA-04 for my bedroom. I can buy the 11L2 speakers for a very good price......will these work good together with the Rotel amp ? I heard the quad's can be quite harsh/bright sounding.

Any advice is welcome........

From my experience, the Quad's were laid back, not at all bright or harsh

Well that is totally opposite to my finding....I found them bright (not harsh but very bright and lifeless!)

I have the 12L2s (same tweeter) and I don't find them bright or harsh at all, but the consensus in this forum seems to be that it all depends what they are used with.

I've heard the Rotel paired with the older 11L (without the revised tweeter of course) and some solid VDH cable. The sound was velvety and quite focused with good bass for the size. Quite good, I thought.

Being a bedroom you would get away with a slightly brighter sound anyway I would think. There's the bed in there for starters...

We've just put a pair of these in our bedroom connected up to my denon separates system and they sound fantastic! If you put them on stands and toe them in slightly they are at ear level if you lay on the bed! The acoustics of a bedroom are perfect too; nice soft furnishings....gonna struggle to get my main system to sounds as clean!
