I was just wondering if anyone can advise me if I'm able to leave non-rechargeable 'C' cells in the unit, while having the mains connected? I know that there's a rechargeable battery pack available, but I'll be using mains 95% of the time, so it'll be a bit of a waste (and reviews say it doesn't have a very long life).

I just want to know that I'm not gonna be trying to charge regular alkaline batteries if left in the radio. The instructions don't appear to mention it.

Cheers.

Right well there are six alkaline batteries in the back of mine and has been plugged into the mains for weeks and my house hasn't burned down, so presume is fine. The chargepak has a weird plugged connector to do the charging, so think they're not connected.

Hi Chris,

If it's the same as the Pure Evoke Flow, the rechargeable Chargepak unit fits in to a connection at the bottom with one of the connectors shown here:
