Question PSB ALPHA IQ help

i want to plug my Mac into these to improve the sound set up for my office but cant see how to send from mac to inputs on psb's.
anybody had any experience with this issue ?
there is a good article on the subject on Darko audio see below,but would be interesting to see if anybody has that set up or something similar.

We’ll need a USB-S/SPDIF converter to hook the PSB into a PC or Mac. A US$99 Topping D10s, primarily a USB DAC, will convert USB to S/PDIF to feed the Alpha iQ over TOSLINK;

I may be wrong, but I think those speakers have a built-in DAC & a USB input?

You should be able to go straight from Mac to speakers with a usb cable.

Thanks for your info - they do have a USB in put but i think its only for playback of music stored on usb stick/storage devices.
