ps3 v marantz dv7001

Hi all, I cant see any differance between my ps3 & dv7001 i have compaired dvd rom & dvd & i can only spot very very small changes. There both running qed sr hdmi and isotek power cables?

May be its my panasonic 32" lcd ? or im going blind?

Any ideas would be great thanks

Both very good upscalers, but I'd expect the Marantz to have the edge. Are you using the upscaling?

And if you ever connect the two to a good audio system, the benefits iof the Marantz will become even more clear.

Mind you, sling a Blu-ray disc into the PS3 and it will seize the upper ground again.

I'd also expect it to be very difficult to see the difference on a 32in set, unless you sit with your nose against the screen - which isn't advisable!

Hi, thanks for your advice. Im thinking of getting a panasonic th42pz70 (£950) would this make much differance? (£500 cheaper than the pioneer)

Whats the differance between the pioneer xd & oxd ?

hi also try the samsung 97 series of new plasma screens, i have just bought a whopping 50 inch for £899 and the picture is stunning.
