PS3 and Projector lip sync issue

I wonder if anyone can offer any advice. I have set up a home cinema room in my converted garage and I am having lip syn issues from my PS3 to my Panasonic PTAX200 projector. I'm using the audio out from the AV connector on the ps3 to my arcam alpha 7 amp. The sound through the amp appears very slightly behind the video on the projector. Would an external DAC such as a CYP-AU conneccted from the PS3's optical socket to the amp help here ? Cheers.
