I have a Benq 1070+ in a small bedroom and it has been an excellent projector - great pic and it runs quietly as I sit right beside it. Last night after five minutes of use the fan suddenly revved up and then it shut down. There were two red lights flashing. I let it cool down and tried using it again 20 minutes later - same problem occurred. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks

Thanks for the link to the post - it was very interesting. I went to the hidden menu and found that unlike the post above it wasn't fan 1 - it was fan 2. It had failed 4 times. I started by clearing the faults and doing a hard reset and that seems to have worked. It is shutting down properly again - it had been turning off instantly when I selected shut down over the past two weeks. I ran it for an hour and fan temps were perfect - this might help someone. I'll update here if the problem returns but I'm hopeful that it won't as there is only 933 hours on the bulb.
