Power conditioner europlugs (cheap)

He used a Tributaries T100 AC Power Manager for $ 100 so i wanted to look for one just to se it it's spec and most important the price

Couldn't find one

Is there any power conditioners that can be use with this euro plugs for the same price as the onces from thomann let's say 100€

How does they work, i mean they are surpose to delivere even voltage,some have ac noise filter and protection against short circuits, right?

that you will find something similar to what you saw in the video, although probably not for $100, maybe add another zero onto the end, that company in the vid makes "conditioners" for the US market only so thats the reason why its so cheap.

But firstly ask yourself why, is there something so wrong with the sound of your system that you need "mains conditioning".

Was just interested, many hifi enthusiasts have one, it can make a bit difference and find one used for $100 is not that bad.

The one in the video cost alot more new and generally they are expensive new, except for the onces from thomann.de, but they don't have the right plugs for my system

If it would make a difference to my system i don't know, all i know is that they use to be expensive, so to find one for as little as $100 is okay.

Now i ask about one for 220-240volt and with europlugs for about the same price, since i couldn't find one used for that price.

Not even shure it's possible to find one for that price, don't have to buy one, im just interested in power conditioners,have been that for a long time but never did anything about it since they used to cost 400-500 € or more.

I use two regulated supplies ... they are called PSX-R's plus a Tacima for surge protection.

They all do their job.

Absolute simplest thing would be to fit a filtered IEC inlet to a box with a double wall socket fitted in it, and can go all the way up to building your own filter circuit if you want

Well yes pretty much, just a cheaper way of doing it (although you could go way beyond the Tacima if you wanted)

I think I misunderstood what you’re asking, (the Tacima is a mains conditioner), the product you linked to does appear to be more of a “power manager” with a filter built in. You could still build/buy something for €100 with the same filtering capabilities.

Beware of filtered IEC sockets !

The one in my old Linn Lingo literally exploded filling my room with acrid stinking smoke in seconds, I have never pulled out so many 13 amp plugs in so little time !

Luckily it has a plastic gater on the inside or it would have covered the rest of the electonics in very hot sticky stinking goo.

The Lingo had to go for a service and a new non filtered IEC socket.

I’m sorry I’m still not sure I follow, is the second one just an unfiltered block?

As far as I can tell the first is a filter and surge protector block like a Tacima etc

Ouch that sounds nasty... something to be wary of then... the other way is one of the chassis filters but that’s a bit more soldering and I don’t know if they’re any more reliable...

They other one is just a power distributor with some rf filter, connect it to one outlet and you connect it to, in my case, speakers,amp (preamp) cdplayer and turntable. It only has a filter for rf, if it has a protection circut i don't know

Having looked at the innards of that block, it pretty much looks like the same basic design as a Tacima strip, just with a lot more caps and chokes in it - more effective filtering. Theyre both surge protectors. Same with the other well known expensive “rack” size filters, Isotek etc, just a more powerful version of the same thing.

I think the better ones have better spike protection but an RA Superclamp at £20 will give the same effect, not sure if he does Euro ones.

Please someone do correct me if I’m wrong though!
