power amp

I currently own a Denon Avr-X4200w that i run 7.1.2 with external 2ch amplifier, i looked around for power amps in the uk

But they where crazy prices, if any one is in the same boat as me , i imported form America a bargin.

The power amp is a emotiva A300 the spec is 150 watts RMS per channel; 20 Hz - 20 kHz; THD < 0.1%; into 8 Ohms

driving the front speakers , what a difference so much more control, then denon amp.

The emotiva A300 is $399 highly recommended if you are after a power amp

Especially for AV multi-channel amps.
I'd like the a700 myself, to drive my seven in-wall, let my Marantz 7010 just drive the in ceilings.
The a700 ($599) is only rated to 80 wpc all channels driven. If you want 7 x 200 watts you need to stump up for a Monolith ($1500) or the Emotiva XPA3 ($1900 with 7 channels).

Plenty of options from Rotel available, obviously more expensive than the emotiva. Buying secondhand on the RMB is a option even going back to the 1075 & 1095 as they have a very good reputation for reliability.
