Poor Performance from My Linn Cd/DVD Player?

I have a Linn Classic Cd/Dvd Player playing through a set of KEF Egg surrond sound speakers, I'm not happy with the overall performance. Can anything be added to improve things or should i think of changing the Linn player? The leads and speaker cable is of a high quality also.

Don't think the Linn player would be at fault. I would be looking at those speakers.

What amp/receiver is driving them??
