Vinyl remains my go to format, so have never stopped buying.
My first port of call is usually my local record shop in Cambridge - Lost in vinyl.
Vinyl is expensive these days, so I'm not as prolific as I was.
I also use Juno as well as artist's own sites.
If you do your research, Discogs is great but it can sometimes be tricky to identify the copy you want.
Likewise with ebay. Research the seller and check feedback.
I have used amazon, but try to limit what I buy there. It's generally cheaper, but I'd rather spend a little extra in an indie store.
I have been an avid crate digger in the past, but not so much now.
If you're buying second hand, I would strongly urge you to buy a decent record cleaner too.
A year later and sad to report that due to ill health of the owner, the most excellent Lost in vinyl closed it's doors on December 23rd.
An amazing indie shop and will be much missed by it's loyal customers,

I still buy records but for a price not more than 30€ with transport, norm ally i buy 99% of them new and i wait ´till the seller wants to get rid of them ,

and having a taste in music that is very colourfull ,so to speak , (directelly connected to my mood)

has i enjoy 40´s records has i enjoy last 10 years released albums sometimes using Spotify, i find new but good bands that otherwise i wouldn´t knew them,

this buying mostly on Ebay and a store in Lisbon, Portugal that sells new and 2nd hand records or one can order.

New i buy them there more of Portuguese bands like Mão Morta, a 80´s rock band with it´s own style ,it can be rock it can be about creating a mood for the poems the singer writes or one of his favorite writers, mr. Adolfo Luxúria(lust) Canibal.

Normally i buy old jazz records if sounding good, or i can seek for bands like Viagra Boys , Amyl and The Sniffers, Lambrini girls, Cumgirl8 as an example of what i ´ve been finding since 2018.

Also love the classics like Bauhaus, Joy Division, Alien Sex Fiend, D.O.A. ,Alice Donut, Bolshoy, The Chameleons, lot´s of 4AD bands etc. also either than jazz musicians ,

i also like Astor Piazolla style of playing Tango and Henry Mancini , in a diferent mood Afrobeat , Raggae , late 70´s funk bands and big bands as an example Buddy Rich, it all depends in the mood i am
