Need a little help if possible. I am thinking of selling my hi fi due to serious lack of use and am wondering if any of you can give me an idea what i would be able to get for it and were to advertise? It is all in imaculate condition with most of the boxes. It consists of the following:-

ARCAM CD73

ARCAM T61 TUNER

PRO-JECT DEBUT 2 TURNTABLE

MARANTZE PM7200 AMP

B&W 601 s3 SPEAKERS BEACH & GREY

MAUDAUNT SHORT SPEAKER STANDS

HIFI STAND IT IS A GOOD ONE JUST CANT REMEMBER WHAT IT IS CALLED!

VANDEN HUL THE SOURCE INTER-CONNECT

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO PACIFIC INTER- CONNECT

As i said it could pass off as a new hi fi appart from the speakers as on the second day of having them my son pushed the tweaters in i didn't replace them as i could not tell the difference in sound! I beleive they can be replaced though. The hi fi is all black. As i said i haven't totaly decided if i am going to sell it that is why i want to know what it is worth as i did pay alot for it. I hope some of you can help me . Thanks

Search for everything on eBay and you'll get your answers there :)

I'm not being smarmy or vague or anything; just that eBay will be your best bet to see all that.

You'll get fairly good money for the Arcam CDP, B&W speakers, turntable and Arcam tuner. I'm not sure on the cables, stands or interconnects though.

Let us know how you get on.

ebay is the obvious 1st choice, and there is a free ads section here http://www.audiophilecandy.com/home.asp and you can try other online hifi forums which have 'for sale' sections. For the kit which has had very little use and is in top condition you may get 70-75% retail value.

Stick them all on starting at 99p and cross your fingers.

You never know I sold a Sony DVP-NS900 DVD/SACD player about a year ago that way and it went for £150!! Not bad as I expected about £50, it didn't even output progressive let alone upscale! The point is you might be supprised

You might want to find some boxes and bubble wrap, it could make a big difference to your sale price.

Selling everything individually will net you much more than selling it as a complete system (which would be extremely difficult to do anyway).

I think you'd realistically get £500 - £550 if you sell them separately or less if you are desperate for the cash.

The guys are right, just do a search on eBay and see what ballpark figures they attract.

I'm sure I've seen each of these on in the last week or so and many of them may still be live auctions.

As someone said above you'll be better starting them all on eBay @ £0.99p as if you list them at prices; it can put people off.

Make sure you research postage charges as well. Royal Mail and ParcelForce are your best bets.
