Hi, can anyone assist? I recently bought a Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ81B (built in Freesat). I Auto Tuned as recommended. However, I notice that the SD picture is not as sharp as my old Toshiba 32" Picture Frame CRT set. Is this normal or is something wrong.

It always pays dividends to do some fine-tuning as the factory default settings are rarely that good. Follow our guide to Boost Your TV's Performance and that should help.

Did you have freeview before with the Toshiba.If not the CRT will give a great picture on standard analogue but the moment you stick freeview on an old antenna you will get problems.

Thanks Andy, will try. Must admit Picture quality is ok on BBC channels . I understand that quality of SD can vary wildly from channel to channel.
Thanks RGD, I had Sky with the Tosh, which I cancelled with the arrival of the Pany Freesat. The antenna is Digital and is about 12 months old. Notice that picture is best( not bad) on BBC channels and varies wildly on others . BBC HD seems very good.
