An obvious tip or useless idea?? Suffering only briefly once, I occasionally give my screen a 5minute 'wash'. Tune into analogue with no input (unplug the aerial?) and enjoy the black & white snow. Entrancing as well as useful ?

Which Panasonic model have you got? Have you got Pixel Orbiter (I think that's what it's called)?

Pixel orbiter??? Its a TV not a bloomin' space rocket! 🙂
No. Its a Pana P42G20. BBC breakfast was the culprit a while back but cleared easily after a wash.

Your Panasonic should have the pixel orbiter in menu options, which is specifically designed to remove IR. Run it every now & then.

I just checked my g20 as I thought it had pixel orbiter, and it doesn't. I can't find it anywhere in any of the menus. My gt50 does though, although its off for THX mode

I cant find it BB but since I dont have an issue I wont worry. Hopwfully other non pixel orbiterians may use my suggested wash to some enefit tho.

I avoid all the news channels which my TV does not seem to like. I avoid any channels with logos that are big and colourful or try not to leave it on them for very long. The pixel orbitor is on and when I did get some slight retention the TV healed itself!
