Pioneer VSLX 55 or Yamaha RX-A1010 ?

Hi I am about to replace my aging Denon 3801 and would like some advice in regard to which new receiver to go for. I do watch films but I also like my music, so am looking for a receiver which is talented with music. These are the two that seem to be getting the plaudits at the moment from various reviews and from my visits to retailers.

My set up comprises, Cambridge Audio Azur 751DB, Mission 782s for front speakers and a Mordant Short alumni 5.1 package

I have the LX55 and think its brilliant. I upgraded from a Denon AVR 1610 system to the LX55. To my ears the sound is amazing both on films and music. I have it connected to some kef egg speakers in a 7.1 set up. It's great for streaming music direct to as well as it has AirPlay. I watch a lot of films via Apple TV or Blu-Ray all of which sound great. You can also connect iPhone or IPad via a lead if you like. I would definitely recommend it!
