Pioneer SC-LX83 + Monitor Audio GX100 or Kef R300s what do you think?

I listened to both these speakers today and in short they are both outstanding but the monitor audio had more realism and precision particulary with the sound wrapping around you. I listened to them on an Antham MRX500 and some Marantz BR at SevenOaks.

My question is does anyone have any experience with either of these speakers on a Pioneer SC-LX83. At the moment the MA were the most impressive although I did enjoy listening to the Kefs but unsure what they would sound like with my amp

Either of these will work well with the Pioneer.

The comparison you made with the Anthem between the MA and the KEF - was an individual auto set up done for each of the speaker packages? It's possible that the MA's favoured the Anthem receiver, but you're not using an Anthem, you're using an LX83. If you can't get your LX83 into the store, you at least need to hear each package with an LX85.
