As a paid up member of the pro plasma club, I feel Pioneer has committed treason by going down the LCD route, so I can't help wanting this TV to not be very good.

Mind you, at £1500 it should be better than fabulous.

Hi - thanks! One small question, can you just elaborate more on whats meant by "slightly uneven backlight"? What effect does that give?

As mentioned on the second thread on this topic, the uneven backlight was just that: brighter on one side of the set than the other, which made getting a truly satisfactory backlight setting a little tricky.
