Does anybody know how the Pioneer A300R differs from the regular A300?

I've discovered that the A300R precision is the dog's danglies and that the A300 is a less powerful version of the A400, but can't find any information on the A300R.

Can anyone shed any light?

It's four years younger, less heavy and 5 watts per channel more powerful than the A300. :)

Believe minor changes to its power supply side and frequently available as Tom Evans modified (the 300R Precision) which are the ones to look out for. Brilliant little amp, I had one modified by Tom to a stereo power amp whilst I awaited arrival of the Linear A.

Thank you for that, every time I googled the 300R all I found was references to the Precision version which seems to be rarer than hen's teeth.
