picture problem with denon 2310

hi all , i have finally got around to setting up my new denon 2310 and i am having a problem with the picture, i have got the pioneer blu ray going into hdmi 1 and hdmi output going to the tv, when i press the menu buton the menu screen comes up on the screen but the picture is awfull, it has red lines and flickers, this is the same when i put a movie on, the sound is great but i just can't seem to get rid of the red flickering lines/pixels. anyone have any ideas? its driving me mad.

could it be a problem with denon/samsung?

hdmi lead?

or something else?

Do both the amp and BD player work okay if they are each connected directly to the TV and not to each other? If one still has problems you could swap the HDMI leads to see if one is faulty.

It could be a compatibility issue - you could try asking the three companies if they are aware of any compatibility problems.

Otherwise, one of the components could be faulty ...
