I've encountered a weird problem with playing audio files from the USB stick. The USB SanDisk UltraFit is duly recognized, and audio files played from the root folder. Folder names are also recognized. However, when I try to browse files in folders and press Enter, the screen reads No-Content.

In short, the result is: can't browse and play files from folders.

Anybody has any idea what could be wrong here?

It's possible that the Yamaha can only read files in the root folder, not other folders, you will need to check in the Yamaha manual to see how the USB stick should be formatted. (Check in the troubleshoot part of the manual as well)

After a lot of experimenting, it turns out that .aac files are not processed, no matter what encoder is used or where they are located. That's contrary to what the manual explicitly says... When converted to .m4a extensions, they are processed no problem, as are .flac files. So there is no problem with folder browsing per se

(I got confused when I said above that the *same* files can be played from the root folder---you can't see the extensions on the screen.)
