Philips HTS8100 Ambisound SoundBar system

Currently at around £500................this looks great!.......but what about sound quality? Anyone seen, heard,got this?...........................The wife's dream of a surround sound system without the clutter of protruding cables all over the lounge. This has a built in Upscaling 1080p DVD Player. Think I'm going to have go along and audition this as soon as possible

We're testing the Philips as part of a big round-up of all the latest home cinema in a box systems, in our October issue - out August 23rd.

Haven't heard it against its rivals yet, but it impressed at a demo earlier this year. However, a lot else has come along since then!
