Philips 9664 - Universal Remote

Hi all,

Do any of the fellow 9664 users have any experience of using the universal remote features of the set?

I spent an hour or so yesterday evening using both the automatic and manual configuration options to try and get it operating the Pioneer 320 blu ray without any joy.

Also, Marantz doesn't come under the list of compatible Home Theatre Systems, is there another brand that is likely to share similar remote codes?

I am using it with my Sony Bluray player and a humax digital box thingy...

However it works fine. What I have noticed though with the humax box is that I need to program it 2-3 times to get the disired function from it. Somehow it seems to give me a different configuration each time I do it, in exactly the same order, so I know that eventually I get it... Don't know if that helps. Also the first time I did it I didn't follow the exact instructions at the end and got impatient since it kind of time consuming, and then it didn't work.

Also, don't remove the batteries from the remote, as it will reset it... Don't know about the Marantz though, sorry
