And to confirm, we've a review of one of the Philips/Pace Freeview HD set-top boxes in our next issue, as part of a Freeview HD Group Test. Issue is in shops by 2nd June; with subscribers from 27th May.

Clare,

Many Thanks- I just seen the philips set top box review in today's television special, but i'll see how it stacks up in the grouptest next month.

@Andy,

Cheers- I had a feeling the details on that Philips bundle would be quite minimal. I'd imagine they will wait and see how big the demand is for Freeview HD. Philips products do tend to look pretty good which makes this bundle appealing.

-My guess is 50% off of the set top box if bought with a 2010 philips tv but we will see....

I was hanging on for the 2010 range but I think that I will now go for the 40" 9704, provided that I can win over my wife who wants a TV no bigger than 32". I was interested in built in Freeview HD but not in 3D.
