Does PCM always show up as multich on the amp display and only HD decoded by the amp show as dts-hd or true hd?

Examples: 3:10 to yuma and kung fu hustle.

Yes. I just tried it on my amp (Onkyo TX-SR605) and that's exactly how it was displayed on the screen.
