Went into Richer Sounds yesterday to look at the above set but was told, somewhat doubtfully, that it was probably discontinued and they were waiting for a newer model to arrive. The guy said they were selling off their last few.

Anyone know about this? I don't particularly want to buy a discontinued model although if there's any basis for his statement the new one will probably be dearer.

As reported in our news pages, Panasonic has a whole new range of TVs on the way, though details of European specifications are sketchy until the Euro-launch, which is at the end of this month, IIRC.
