Just wondering if anyone on here has bought one of these or seen it on display? I'm looking to replace my Sony 28" CRT but due to my limited viewing distance (just a smidge over 6.5ft) I'm stuck with the lower screen sizes. Most of my viewing will be blu-ray or upscaled DVD but it has to cope with regular TV as well (freesat). Would the 37LZD800 be a good all-rounder for me?

Do the WHF team have any other 37" screens being reviewed over the next month?

I bought one two months ago and find it a very good TV. I use it mostly for SD viewing (Sky+ and upscaled DVDs) and i also have a HTPC hooked up to it. I do not have a seperate sound system, so I like the superior speaker system. I had originally wanted to buy the 42pz85, but the 42 seemed a bit too big so I went for this instead. I found it very difficult to find many online reviews of this tv, but those i suggested it was a top tv. I am in the process of exchanging it for the 42pz85 as i have some backlight bleeding. I have also read, mainly here, that the panny plasmas are excellent. There is a severe scarcity of the pz85s at the moment, so the exchange has been held up for several weeks now and it may be a few more weeks before i finally get my hands on it.

My only concern about getting the pz85 is that I am getting an inferior tv, but as I live in southern Ireland, these (UK) models are not available for viewing in any of the stores here so I can't compare them side by side. As yet i have not found any reivews comparing these two tvs, and I am wondering if i should stick with a LZD800, or get pz85 instead?

The PZ85 got a "Highly Recommeded" fromHDVTest, whereas the PZ800 didnt. The PZ85 won the EISA European award. It's a very good set.
