Glad to have been of assistance! What I still don't understand is why Panasonic made it so clear to us in preview briefings about IFC being for 24fps, and it being an on/off option, but this not being clear in the customer manual. Bonkers.

Hi letmeboogey , I am thinking of getting the 46" version. How far are you from the screen. Also do you recommend this TV having now purchased it?

Hi

I can only give you my opinion and what i see. I am sitting about 9ft away, i like it very much and yes i would recommend it but only based on what i found and how it suits me. As SD pictures range from ok to extremely good based on the channel you are watching, e,g ITV seems to be worst. As i have the tv over 2 weeks now i think the images are getting better and sharper as the screen settles. This tv has it all and i maybe one of minority in that when i watch blu ray i love the ifc on as i think adds quite a bit depthness to the image.

I have the overscan turned on for normal SD viewing as some channels you can see some distortion at the bottom or edges but it does not happen all the time and this ranges from program to program don't worry this is normal. The older tv's were good at hiding them they have always been there. See my previous posts as i think explained it there but turned it off dvd,blu ray etc.

hope this helps

Regards

I have the 42" and sit about 9ft away, and it seems the perfect size. It does take a bit of tweaking on the settings to look it's best. Use the THX optimizer found on the star wars films dvd, then turn off IFC and picture overscan(if you notice jagglylines at the edge of pic then leave on). Makes a huge difference to the quality of the picture.

I've had no problems with motion or anyhting else. Very good tv
