Hi,

Im thinking about getting the above TV together with the cinema system. Both seem to get good reviews. Can anyone please provide any further advice/comments regarding the above, will this be a good setup etc. Any advice would be warmly welcomed. Also can you advise on any cables/connectors that would compliment/enhance the system?.

Many thanks,

Michael.

Both are good pieces of kit and will work together nicely.

The only thing you'll need (assuming you have no other components to connect up) is an HDMI cable from the Sony unit to the TV. The merits of cheap vs expensive are widely discussed in this forum so do a search here before putting an order in (The QED Qunex is a good balance of percieved quality versus cost).

The Sony kit is supplied with cable that will easily do the job of ferrying a signal of appropriate quality to the miniscule squeakers but check the length if you have any particularly long runs. You can upgrade this cable with better stuff (a friend has done this) if you've got money to burn but I wouldn't recommend it as the speakers pretty much throttled the increase in signal quality (they're only tiny and work pretty much at their limits out of the box.
