Seriously considering buying this model but have a couple of questions if anyone can help:

[*]Why do lcd tv's appear to have a better picture in showrooms than plasma?
[*]Have recently bought a Sony Full HD camcorder will it play back ok through TH-37PX80B?
[*]Tend to watch mostly motorsport & wildlife on SD will this be best on plasma or lcd?

Will probably get HD later through freesat

In good reception area fro freeview so picture quality good on 32" current sony normal tv.

Thanks for any advice

Plasmas dont like bright flourescent lights shining on them, they look better in home environment.

37PX80 will accept 1080 signal from the camera (I presume it is HDMI connection?)

In general, plasma is better for motion sports.

Re the bright light issue does the same apply to natural light as the the tv location is in a room with a lot of natural light and next to french doors!

I have a large window at one end of my room and french doors at the other end allowing in loads of light, no problems for me with my PX80.

TV's are set up to look as bright and colourful as possible for showrooms, however when you get them home, if you were to keep them at the same settings it would soon give you a headache! First thing you do is change the settings to about halfway or less (colour brightness etc.) The PX80 is still about as good as it gets. Thoroughly recommend it.
