Panasonic Skype Camera TYCC20W

If you go to the Blu Ray forum a poster has said he has had issues with this camera not working with his 2011 Blu Ray player - the 110 and a retailer saying its not compatible with 2011 Panasonic products.

Surely this cant be true ?

I have a 42" GT-30 plasma - was just about to buy one.

Will it work ? Does anyone use one for Skype purposes which is why I am buying one ?

Flippin expensive too - any other options ?

Logitech does a Panasonic compatible camera, but it isn't cheap:
