panasonic SA-BX500 ? is it really any good?

i am in the market for a hd-receiver and all my other gear is panasonic so i auditioned one at an idependant dealer and was quite impressed ,but reading reviews (not many about thou) seemed very negative. has anyone else heard it or owned one?

I know What hifi scored this a 1* rating, though it's just there opinion at the end of the day....

I'm sure there are just as good receivers in this price mark if better, but I would just find a dealer and audition it and find your liking from there, your speakers could gel with this amp, it may not. Good luck
