Panasonic PX700 and rivals.

Had been waiting very patiently for the next issue to see if this is the 42 of our dreams, by the sound of it the PZ700 will be tested, not the PX700. Clare and the team, has anyone tested the PX - if so does it outshine its Samsung rival? Any other members seen any reveiws other than in What Plasma?

PX700 covered alongside the PX70 in the next-issue test.... I can't tell you the result, but hope you'll take the hint of waiting to read it before you buy!

I look forward to the reviews of 40-42" screens in the next issue. The Panasonic TH42Z700 looked very good in a shop running off a PS3 and I have read one or two very decent reviews so far. However, the Pioneer PDP-428XD is also getting rave reviews, but I watched some of 'Superman Returns' on the Pioneer PDP-4280XD - which, presumably, isn't much different - in a store and was underwhelmed. The LCD Samsung next to it was playing the same film and produced a much better picture. I think the Pioneer's fabled black levels must have gone walkies that day...
