In Panasonic Plasma series released in 2008 in Europe didn´t have any anti image retention / burn in devices which the same series had in the USA.

Is there any news about the orbiter, white wash, etc in 2009 Panasonic Plasma series? In the manuals in Panasonic web seems that there´s no orbiter at all once again.

In 2008, Panasonic's European plasma tv's all had the 'Orbiter' function (Panasonic call this wobbling), it's just that the European models had no option to switch it off which is why it does not appear in the menu settings. They also had the ability to change the colour of the side panels, and also a function that reduces the contrast/brightness on the screen after a few minutes when a static image is detected. The only 'anti-burn' device they do not have when compared to the USA models is the scrolling bar function, but then this is no more effective than switching the tv on to an ordinary program for a while if you are experiencing retention. It would seem that all of these functions have carried through to the 2009 models.
