Panasonic or Sony (now I am really confused)

I had thought about buying the Panasonic lcd 32" LXD700 but Sony have won the supertest and it made me look at their tv's I was not a big fan of Sony but have found a model (KDL-32D3000) that looks as good as the Panasonic, both have double response time, claim to have good sound and cost the same. HELP! How do they compare? Which has better blacks etc?

I'd go with the Panasonic LXD700 - still the best 32in we've seen (this month's test looked at more budget options, if you can't stretch to the more premium sets like the LXD700).

We tested the Sony KDL-32D3000 head-to-head with the Panasonic TH-32LXD700 in our last 32in Supertest (October 2007) and it was a close contest. Both got five stars, and in some ways the Sony was slightly superior (detail, if I remember rightly) - but the Pana has a better TV tuner, better blacks and contrast (within LCD limitations) and better motion-handling. But as i said, a close contest - both sets are superb performers (hence five stars!)

actually I had LG 32" in my mind when compared to Sony and Samsung, i want to know how LG fared in the supertest and Samsung too, coz am in different part of world, it takes 1 month to get March issue. pls help.

Let's just say the LG and Samsung got four stars, Sony five.
